Thomas gets his own blog

Not ones to fall behind the technological curve, we've set Thomas up with his very own photoblog. Don't worry, it's not filled with cutesy, precocious ramblings of a five-year-old that have actually written by the parents.

Instead, I'm using this site to post pictures Thomas has taken with his new Canon digital camera. I'll also post stories Thomas has written. Every so often, I sit down and have him tell me a story, and I transcribe it. He's a pretty funny writer in the vein of a (much) younger Steve Martin, so look for him on the comedy circuit soon.

Reno from the hills above the North Valleys. Alex was restless, so I took him for a drive up there. We were rewarded with some nice, afternoon light.

Seagull in Idlewild park. I really got to test out the new Nikon this afternoon. It was somewhat overcast, but there was enough light to let me shoot at 1/2000 of a second with the cheapo Quantaray 100-300 lens. It's only a 4.5, which shows in the background. If I could get my hands on an AF 2.8, I'd get the blur you see in Nat Geo. and others.
