The boys

Thomas and Alex relax on the front porch on the Fourth of July while we made dinner. I snapped this one through the front storm door with a 100mm focal length, so there's a little softer effect and a good bit of compression going on. Turned out well, though, for a snapshot. 

Fourth of July

Untouched sunset from our backyard on the Fourth of July. Even better than the fireworks show, which we missed bacuse it was after our bedtime. 

Thomas and the moon

Sunday night, we pulled out the Meade telescope and checked out the moon. Thomas, who has expressed interest in astronomy since a visit to University of Nevada Reno's Fleischman Planetarium, was captivated.
