At left, my heart as seen via Doppler echocardiogram, something I have done every other year or so. As a patient with Mitral Valve Prolapse, I have to have my mitral valve looked at regularly to ensure there's not too much regurgitation of blood. Too much could necessitate surgery, and I'd rather avoid that, if at all possible.
The doctor will call with results tomorrow, but I was able to elicit a "thumbs-up" from the technician on how everything looked this go-round.
The running (about 4 miles a day) is helping, I think, as is cutting processed sugars from my diet. Click the photo for an extreme close-up.
